Early Thursday, a source told Sporting News that Phoenix point guard Steve Nash was "pretty close" to putting his name on a contract that would not only ensure he earns all of the $13 million he has coming to him for the for the 2009-10 season , but would pay him more than $20 million as part of a two-year extension.
